Bangalore: Although India is rising as a developed nation swiftly, it has a gloomy and dark side as well. The country has witnessed shocking cases of murders which have been intense and mysterious. Despite there being several rounds of investigations, the story remains to be unsolved till today. Amar Singh Chamkila

The popular Punjabi singer of the bygone era, Amar Singh Chamkila was shot during a performance in Punjab. He was accompanied by his wife and singing partner, Amarjot, who also became a target of the unidentified killers. They were stepping out of their car when the assassination took place. A group of unknown youths approached them and pumped bullets from AK 47 into their bodies that took their lives instantly. The controversial case of the Punjabi duet was never solved as and no arrests were ever made.
