2. The Right Of Persons With Disabilities Bill, 2014

The Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, Mallikarjun Kharge introduced the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Bill, 2014 in the Rajya Sabha on February 7, 2013.  

The Bill repeals the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995.

The central and state governments have to identify posts in establishments under them to be reserved for persons with benchmark disabilities. 

3. The National Commission For Human Resources For Health Bill, 2011

The National Commission for Human Resources for Health Bill, 2011 was introduced in the Rajya Sabha on December 22, 2011 by the Minister of Health and Family Welfare Ghulam Nabi Azad.

The Bill seeks to establish a mechanism to determine and regulate the standard of health education in the country.

The Bill seeks to set up the National Commission for Human Resources for Health (NCHRH), National Board for Health Education (NBHE), and the National Evaluation and Assessment Council (NEAC).  It also establishes various professional councils at the national and state level and a NCHRH Fund to meet expenses.
