Live Voting Over Missed Call Predicting Election Results

BANGALORE:A mobility solutions company from Mumbai - VivaConnect, has set forth an innovative step with ‘#iChooseMyIndia’ initiative, allowing masses to vote their opinion just by giving a missed call in favor of the political party they think can bring a difference in forthcoming general elections. The website (ichoosemyindia.com) will also flash live results of the poll so that people witness their vote added up in real time.

Though on eve of Lok Sabha Elections a multiple public opinion polls pop their heads to speculate the outcome, yet I choose my India initiative holds a ground apart with its real time results. It limits each mobile number to cast just a single vote for a particular political party. Which means a person can cast a vote for his choice of political party just once. With this, the initiative has introduces a new way of conducting polls that are capable of national level engagement with absolute convenience.

Participation is open to every Indian and is independent of the service carrier or the handset one uses. One can give a missed call in favor of AAP at 1800 103 5516, Congress at 1800 103 5517, BJP at 1800 103 5518, Others at 1800 103 5523 or None at 1800 103 5524. The missed calls received by individual party are displayed over website along with the total votes received in the poll.

‘Our initiative intends to showcase public opinion with Live results and encourage everyone to vote as every single vote collectively makes a huge difference’, says Vikram Raichura, who leads the initiative.

The poll will accept votes till 6th April, 2014 and will continue to showcase the results post that. This initiative does not intend to promote any political party but is solely meant for sharing public opinion. With Live voting, Live counting there’s a hope for us to bring a change in lives of million Indians, after all every single vote makes a big difference.
