Kiss of Love Organizers Undeterred by Police Orders

BENGALURU: Kiss of Love has not come to an end yet and instead has more to it now. The fight is not yet over for the voice of protest. Rachita Taneja, the 23 year-old spunky human rights activist has passed the baton on to a group which is even more determined to hold the Kiss of Love campaign, come what may. They are a group of six activists who claim to be co-organizers of the event met city police commissioner M N Reddi, Additional Commissioner of Police Alok Kumar, and DCP (Central) Sandeep Patil to discuss how the shelved program could be revived.

The group reports that they do not want to give up the cause and wish to go ahead with the event in front of Town Hall from 4-6 pm on November 30. They gave their detailed explanations to the police who were skeptic about the whole movement.

The group’s Facebook post read, "Kiss of Love is a movement formed through a Facebook collective and is being organized by a group of volunteers. A single person cannot take the responsibility of the whole protest. We are willing and ready to take the responsibility as a group. We are moving forward with the protest and expecting every single person who would like to express their solidarity towards the voices against moral policing will gather there with us."
