India's 'Vision 2022': A Ray of Hope for Women's Health

Bangalore: Women, the life giver and the most important section of the society are at risk today. According to Federation of Obstetric and Gynecological Societies of India (FOGSI), some of the shocking facts in India at present are that 54 percent of the teenage girls are weak and feeble and the other 24.4 percent of women are obese, as reported by Garima Prasher for TOI.

These facts were presented by FOGSI during “Vision 2022” announcement which is an extensive programme mainly focusing on the health issues of women.

President of FOGSI, Dr Hema Divakar said, "Bringing women from pale to pink is the aim of Vision 2022. The programme will incorporate long-term initiatives which will build a healthy generation and ensure an overall wellbeing of women,” as reported by TOI.

Dr Hema also said that the main aim of FOGSI in the course of 'Vision 2022' is to undertake four different problems related to women’s health and it could also be referred to as the ABCD of women’s health.
