Indian Govt. plans to make the country an all-electric vehicle nation by 2030 and hybrid cars are the first step towards that. Major car marquees like Toyota, Honda, Maruti, and Mahindra are investing in Hybrid and electric cars for a greener nation. Here are some of the Hybrid cars currently available in India:

Toyota Prius

Toyota has been working over hybrid cars for a long time and Prius isone of their longest running cars in the world with hybrid powertrain. The 2019 Toyota Prius comes loaded with a 1.8-liter Engine assisted with a 93kW electric Motor which churns around 97 BHP. The car has enough space to seat five members and can haul the extra luggage, thanks to the spacious boot. The service and maintenance of the Prius are very cheap around 5K a year which makes it ultra-desirable. The price tag on this Hybrid is around 45 lakh which is too bulky and the reason for it is the technology inside, savvy interior and exterior features.

Toyota Camry

Another product from the Toyota group will be down in early 2019. The new Toyota Camry equipped with a hybrid drivetrain. This luxury segment sedan by Toyota includes many high-end infotainment and safety features. It carries a massive 2.5-Liter Engine and a powerful 88kW electric motor which combined makes out around 218 BHP. Toyota Camry hybrid is highly equipped and gets a long list of equipment as standard. The massive boot space of around 436 liters is enough to haul your extra trolley. Such massive power output generally undermines the economic aspect but the Toyota Camry just takes it to a different level by offering an average of 27.2 Kmpl mileage.

Honda Accord Hybrid

Another milestone is set up by the competitor of the Camry, the Honda Accord Hybrid. The next generation Accord has a much better power output than the earlier versions and is stacked with Multi-Mode Drive which gives a memorable driving experience every single time. The 2.0-liter Atkinson cycle Engine matched with 2-motor Li-Ion Battery, both managed by the Intelligent Power Unit (IPU) churns out around 212 hp and a fuel economy of about 23.1 Kmpl.
