Great News For Job Seekers, Centre To Open 50 Career Service Platforms

BANGALORE: It seems that there is a good news for the job-seekers as centre has decided to open 50 career service centres in March. One can find all employment-related information here that includes career counseling, internships and many lucrative job-offers.

This is a very ardent move from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government after it came into rule. And the effect could be easily made out as the labour ministry has launched an online platform for both job openings as well as job seekers’ resumes. These online platforms will offer better career counseling than ever before based upon the quantitative and qualitative aptitude, which the candidates will be writing.

The ministry will divulge 50 model career centres in India this month. Later, all of the nearly 1,000 employment connections in the nation will be turned into career centres.

According to Alok Kumar, director general of employment and training at the labour ministry, “Job creation is a key focus of the government. Through the platform, we would try to connect right candidates with the right jobs. The initial pilot has been conducted for the online platform and it is likely to go live in a couple of weeks,” reports Livemint.

It is imperative to note that India created 59.9 million jobs between 1999 and 2004, when the BJP-led NDA was in command. Under the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance, there were no more than 1.1 million jobs created between 2004 and 2010, and 13.9 million new jobs between 2009 and 2012.
