People's Republic of China

The People’s Liberation Army has 2,285,000 active soldiers and 800,000 reserved soldiers. It is the largest army in the World. Since China has more than a billion people to protect, a military army like this one is quite necessary. Young men from the country are urged to join the Chinese Army upon reaching the age of 18 years and there are always a huge number of volunteers to enroll for the field.  As China engages in a lot of conflicts with its neighbors due to territorial issues, having such a strong force is essential.
