Bangalore Police Use Whatsapp To Prevent Crimes In The City

BANGALORE: In prolongation of its entire support of online networking instruments for policing actions; the Bangalore city police are utilizing Whatsapp to enhance the police beat framework, keeping in mind the end goal to avoid crimes and also to get information on hostile to social components, reports The Indian Express.



Policemen in Bangalore are now requested to make jurisdictional WhatsApp groups highlighting key natives. Even policemen from the nearby police headquarters and the inspector responsible for the neighborhood police headquarters are requested for the same.



According to Alok Kumar, Additional Commissioner of Police (West), “The locals in the group must be clean hands with no criminal background. The public members can report any suspicious activity in the group. It will help us prevent crime,” reports The Indian Express.



In the first phase of the presentation of Whatsapp for the police beat framework police inspectors from four divisions – Central, South, North and West, will make Whatsapp group.



The jurisdictional police reviewer would utilize his official portable to make the WhatsApp group and would be the overseer for the group. The Whatsapp group is expected just to make the beat framework more powerful, the senior cop said.
