Atos Introduces its First Supercomputer in India at IIT-BHU
Atos, one of the biggest leaders in digital transformation installed its first super computer in India at IIT-BHU. The IIT-BHU's first supercomputer 'Param Shiva' was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi and which has also been equipped with the latest processors and accelerators on the market, to provide optimal performance and improved energy efficiency.

The supercomputer is first of several that will be installed across India as part of a major 3-year agreement between C-DAC (Centre for Development of Advanced Computing), an organization of MeitY (Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, India) and Atos. With an aim to create a network of over 70 high performance supercomputing facilities for various academic and research institutions across India, it was part of Government of Indias NSM (National Supercomputing Mission), a 7-year plan of INR 4500 crores.
