Airport Formalities, A Cause Of Stress among Indian Travelers

Bangalore: The long wait at the check-in queues and clearing security at the airports might just make anyone mad and spoil their holiday mood. More than two- thirds (67 percent) of Indian travelers found their airport experience as the most stressful part of their travel, says a global survey by travel search site Skyscanner.

The international survey conducted by Skyscanner polled more than 20,000 respondents from 12 nations like Brazil, Germany, Italy, Spain and Russia. Of the total sample size, more than 3,000 respondents were Indian travelers. In this survey, Brazilians and Brits join Indians, with their queues and clearing security checks as the number one stress factor. For the Germans, Italians and Spanish, it’s the hunt for cheap flights that tops as the stress factor, and for Russians it’s organizing visas and travel documents that cause the blood pressure to rise. Russians require visas to visit several countries, adding extra expense to their travel.
