90 Percent Of The World's Population To Have Mobile Phones By 2020

BENGALURU: The Swedish communications giant Ericsson gave a report telling that 90 per cent of world’s population aged 6 years and above will have mobile phones, which will lead to total Smartphone subscriptions of 6.1 billion. Today the total Smartphone subscribers are 2.7 billion, reports Entrepreneur.
As per the report, everyone over the age of 6 will have mobile phones by the year 2020. The report also reveals that the kids will not be using used or damaged phones from their parents but they will use phones especially bought for them.
India and China are the fastest economies and the numbers of mobile subscribers are growing by multiple folds. Everyone is using 4G network over 3G, in future this trend will be overtaken by 5G networks.
