Bangalore: They once had the world in the palms of their hands. Now their palms are outstretched, hoping for a handout. Fame doesn’t last forever, and for many celebrities, neither does money. Here are the rich and famous celebrities who became homeless as listed by Business Insider.

 

Margot Kidder:

A Canadian- born American  actress, she has appeared in wide range of films during the 1970s and 1980s such as Sisters, Black Christmas, and Heartaches, but is best known for her role as Lois Lane in the Superman movies, beginning from 1978. She dated big celebrities like the Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau.

In her twenties, Margot was a helpless victim of her illness, diagnosed as schizophrenic and manic depression and even refused treatment at one point of time. She was involved in a car crash in 1990, after which she was unable to work for some years, causing her serious financial problems. In 1996 in Los Angeles, she was found with a broken teeth, huddled inside cardboard which served as her home in the backyards of Los Angeles. Prolonged illness ruined her career and her homeless due to lack of money. Now the actor has recoverd completely and now lives in Montana.
