She was the first Indian girl who got selected in India women’s cricket team at the age of 17. She holds many records, including highest individual score by an Indian woman in World Cup in the year 2005. Recently, she hit six sixes in a match against New Zealand. She has also been awarded the Arjuna award by the Indian government in recognition of her achievements in sports. At 2013 Women's World Cup, Mithali Raj starred as the No.1 Cricketer in the ODI chart and scored 100s: 1 and 50s: 4 in Test cricket, 100s: 5 and 50s: 36 with best bowling figures of 3/4 in ODI's and 50s: 7 in T20's. She set a perfect example for every woman who have a passion for something.
