Meenakshi Arora

Meenakshi Arora was one of the members of the drafting committee which drafted the regulations in 2013, ‘The Gender Sensitization & Sexual Harassment of Women’ at the Supreme Court of India in order to protect and provide grievance redressal to women lawyers from sexual harassment at the Supreme Court.

 She is one of the well known advocates in India, who fights against gender inequality and sexual harassments. She has also been recommended as a Delhi high court judge but she withdrew her consent from judgeship.  Because of her continuous efforts constitution has implemented the legislation of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act (2013).

Leila Seth

Justice Leila Seth was the first woman judge on the Delhi High Court and the first woman to become Chief Justice of a state High Court. She has been a part of various commissions and studies which includes studies like the effects of the serial ‘Shaktiman’ on children, death of businessman Rajan Pillai in police custody.

She is known as a feminist who has fought for the gender equality which resulted in the amendment of the Hindu Succession Amendment Act (2005), ensuring that daughters have equal rights to joint family property. She has also fought for the rights of LGBT community in the country.
