5 million Students Participated in Nation's Largest School Essay Competition Conducted by Tata Building India, a Tata Group initiative

Tata Group launched the nation’s largest essay competition themed on Lesson for Modern India from Mahatma Gandhi with a vision to empower over five million students from 10,000 schools across 300 plus cities. The competition provides a unique platform to young future leaders to bring in their imagination and showcase their hidden talent in writing.

The Tata Building India School Essay Competition was held in 13 languages and the first phase consists of screening inspirational films and it was followed by a topic, in which they were asked to write an essay on the theme. Over the years, themes of the competition ranged from contemporary topics like Digital Technology for a Better India, Clean India, Global Warming and Climate Change. It was conducted across two categories, junior level (classes 6-8) and senior level (classes 9-12). The national winners of this pan-India competition will get once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet a national dignitary like the President of India and visit the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi later.

Tata Building India School Essay Competition is one of the key initiatives undertaken by Tata Group of Companies to motivate the Indian youth to think about nation building and nurture their minds. Tata ClassEdge, a technology-enabled holistic solution conducts English language essay competition in its partner schools as well for a better nation to future.
