Capital punishment or better known as death penalty is a legit procedure in which a person is put to death for a crime by the state or nation as a penalty for committing the crime. Capital punishment was practiced by many countries in the past but in the modern world it’s been practiced only by 58 countries where as 97 countries have abolished it. The trend towards abolishing the capital punishment in many countries started since World War II holocaust. Capital punishment is believed to be an archaic punishment now which is not suitable for civil nations to practice.
