The government's implementation of state industrial policies and sector-specific incentive schemes, supported by substantial investments in logistics and infrastructure development, has further strengthened this momentum.The banking, healthcare, and energy sectors are among the high-performing sectors predicted for 2024. The Indian healthcare sector is also expected to rise three-fold, growing at a CAGR of 22% between 2016–22 to reach US$ 372 billion in 2022 from US$ 110 billion in 2016. India's public expenditure on healthcare touched 2.1 % of GDP in FY23. Food grain production in India reached 330.5 million Metric Tonnes (MT) in 2022-23. India is the world's second-largest producer of food grains, fruits, and vegetables and the second-largest exporter of sugar. A total of 521.27 Lakh Metric Ton (LMT) rice has been anticipated for procurement for the upcoming (KMS) Kharif Marketing Season 2022-23, up from 496 Lakh Metric Ton (LMT) produced during the previous (KMS) Kharif Marketing Season 2022-23.
