2005-2006: Spain, Canada & South Africa

While Spain was the third nation in the world to validate gay marriages by a legal mandate on 3rd July, 2005, Canada on 20th July, 2005 and South Africa in 2006 were the immediate non-European followers to legally allow gay weddings.
