5. Martin Luther:

Martin Luther was a German Catholic priest, theologian and influential figure of a transformation movement in 16th century Christianity, later known as the Protestant Reformation. Luther became increasingly upset on learning about those who preached and promised remission from punishments of a sin committed by  someone who is still living or for those who have died. He turned against many of the major teachings of the Catholic Church and was excommunicated and charged with blasphemy by the Pope Leo X in January 1521. When revolt erupted against him, Luther escaped to the castle of his supporter, Frederick the Wise, and managed to live the remaining part of his life in freedom.
