10 Laziest Countries in the World

Bangalore: About a third of people across the world do not actually meet the minimum activity requirements which is generally about 2.5 hours of moderate activity per week. The situation is worse among the adolescents aged between 13-15 across the globe, of whom about 80 percent fall into the inactive category. Here is a glimpse of such countries which is regarded as the laziest in the world as listed by Forbes.

Malta:

Malta tops the list of being the laziest country in the world. According to the study, 72 percent of the Maltese don’t get enough exercise. Malta is quiet a small country where one can get around anywhere by bicycle or even by walking. Majority of the people in Malta own a car. Few people who don’t own a car have a boat, motorbike or even a horse driven-carriage to make sure that they don’t need to walk even a single step. Lack of space to exercise is cited as another reason. With so many buildings and constructions coming up, it is difficult to find a large area of green space that is good for running or long walks. These may be the reasons that have made the Maltese people lazy.

Swaziland:

Swaziland ranks as the second laziest country in the world. Apparently 69 percent of the people in this country are inactive.
