#5 The Brandenburg Gate

The structure was built by Prussian Kings in 1791 as a sign of peace. Even though the 26 meter high gate was greatly damaged during the Second World War; it was later restored in 2002. The post war partition made the gate inaccessible and placed it close to the Berlin wall but was reopened in 1989. An adorning quadriga of Eirene, the roman goddess of peace spotted atop the gate gives away a magnificent look.

#6 Mount Rushmore

The busts of the first four American presidents carved out of massive mountain rocks can be spotted in Mount Rushmore. This monument is located in Black hills of South Dakota and has the faces of Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and Roosevelt engraved each 18 meter tall. The sculptors were made by Gutzon Borglum between 1927 and 1941 marking the first 150 years of American history.
