Narayan Murthy to advice Modi over Research Centre in Gujrat

Bangalore : NR Narayan Murthy, Chairman and Chief Mentor of IT major Infosys met Narendra Modi , Chief Minister of Gujarat and held discussions on wide range of issues including setting up of a Infosys research centre in Gujarat.
It was over half-an-hour long meeting, where Modi proposed to the Infosys Chairman to head a world class Incubation Centre for the Youth proposed to come up in the state. He mentioned in an official statement, "The chairman of world class IT company has reacted positively to the Gujarat government's offer to head a world class Centre for the Youths proposed to come up in the state."
In his reply to Gujarat government's offer, Murthy said , "I will be happy to be linked with this ambitious project, but how much time I will be able to devote towards it is to be seen and I shall discuss with the government later on."
In the meanwhile, Gujarat CM, also spoke his heart out on establishing a Infosys research centre in Gujarat. Infosys, has already asserted their interest in opening an IT centre in Gujarat and entreated land from the state government. Murthy added, "We are yet to get land, once the Gujarat government takes a decision and I am sure that they will, we would look at the possibility of starting a centre here."
A top state official said that the senior executives of Infosys had met the Gujarat state official in the past to check the possibilities of setting up a IT centre in the state.
