Directed by Pradeep Ranganathan, Comali is a comedy-drama movie that stars Jayam Ravi, Kajal Aggarwal and Samyuktha Hegde in key roles. Remarkably, this is the first collaboration between Jayam Ravi and Kajal. The movie was shot in Chennai and it is said that Jayam Ravi lost 20kgs for this movie. In the movie he plays the role of a coma patient who wakes up after 16 years to a changed world.

The soundtrack is done by Hiphop Tamizha and this is the second collaboration with the director for him. With a running time of 143 minutes, the movie is produced by Ishari K. Ganesh and Vels Film International is the production company of the movie.
