Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's Brahmastra is on a dream run as far as advance sales are concerned with an unbelievable craze among the audience. The movie is competing with blockbusters like Tiger Zinda Hai, Sultan, Dangal, and Sanju in its pre-release sales and there is a high possibility of it matching the opening day business of most of the aforementioned films. In the three national chains, PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis, Brahmastra has sold over 1.50 Lakh tickets for the opening day alone.

The gross total of this sale is around 5.25 crores with a nett of 4.50 crores. The movie is poised to take a bumper opening on Friday and emerge the biggest pandemic opener of Hindi cinema by surpassing Sooryavanshi. For those unaware, Sooryavanshi was released on the holiday period of Diwali and collected 26 crores. The advance booking of Brahmastra is already the highest for a Hindi film in pandemic times and it will be looking to target the overall advance figures of Tiger Zinda Hai (2.76 Lakh) and Sanju (2.95 Lakh).
Talking of all India advances, Brahmastra has already clocked 6.20 crore nett from the sale of tickets for the opening day, and by Thursday night, the movie would have earned 10 crores from mere pre-sales. Basically, the advance booking of Brahmastra might be higher than the opening day of Ranbir's last release, Shamshera. For the opening weekend, it has sold tickets worth 14 crore nett, and this is another monumental figure suggesting the hype around the film among the audiences.
Brahmastra is headed for a 25 crore plus start at the box office, and at this point of time, even a 30 crore start can't be ruled out if the audience reports are positive.
