Anita Hassanandani Collabs With Clean Beauty Market- Vanity Wagon

Actress Anita Hassanandani associates with India's first only Clean Beauty aggregator, Vanity Wagon. This collaboration is a part of a seed round of $200k, said the startup.

The startup was established in September 2018 by Naina Ruhail, Prateek Ruhail and Sahil Shrestha. Presently, the startup claims to have sold more than 1,20,000 products since its launch and has witnessed 5x growth since 2019.

Vanity Wagon is building a cohesive market in the clean beauty industry, that is a one stop destination for Clean Beauty enthusiasts. At present their operations extend to over 50,000 pin codes across India with 85 brands, and Vanity Wagon now plans to on–board 70 more brands, 50,000 new users by 2021.

Commenting on the collaboration,  Anita states, “Being a believer in Clean Beauty, I realised that now it's time for India to have its own clean beauty destination. When I spoke with the founders of Vanity Wagon, I realised how good a team they are to implement this and immediately knew this is going to be big. Further embarking on my journey as a mother I wish to use only safe and certified products for my baby and shopping these becomes much easier with Vanity Wagon”.

The clean beauty industry has been growing steadily at over 50 percent year on year and with the advent of a host of new brands, the space is looking to jump the growth even further. With a large amount of investments flowing in clean beauty brands, such as mamaearth, moms co, Arata, the future of Clean Beauty in India definitely looks bright.

Anita has been an active investor in startups, with bets on companies such as Natures Tattva and TheBagTalk.
