Casting the country’s dynamic-duo (Hrithik Roshan – Tiger Shroff) together, War tops the charts grabbing the most revenue of all the Indian movies in the past year with 474.71cr. Both delivering the best of action spectacles, with a firm script and thrilling screenplay, it deserves to be the best movie of the year in India.

Filmed simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, Saaho is another action thriller that shone in 2019. The high-octane action sequences and visuals were absolutely stunning and it is one of the most expensive Indian films ever produced.

According to a recent report by online ticket booking platform BookMyShow, the demand for Hindi movies grew by 25 percent from last year, while demand for Malayalam movies rose 108 percent and English movies saw a 45 percent growth. Akshay Kumar and Ayushmann Khurrana had an amazing year with three films each and with former collecting 9.2mn tickers and the latter with 6.3mn.
