Cast: Henry Fonda

Not a Henry Fonda fan yet? Well, 12 Angry Men, which is arguably cited as the best courtroom drama ever, will surely make you one. Davis, the 8th Juror, who is not convinced of the guilt of a young man who has apparently stabbed his father in a rage, single-handedly leads a mind-battle against the other 11 Jurors who are fully convinced. Fonda within the confinements of four walls conveys the claustrophobic atmosphere and transfers the tension to audience in a unique manner. He eventually reverses the verdict of each of the men in the room, making Davis one the memorable characters of all time.

6.Chris Gardner - The Pursuit of Happyness (2006)

Cast: Will Smith

The biopic of Chris Gardner- an American businessman, The Pursuit of Happyness is more than a fine piece of art. In Chris Gardner’s ‘pursuit of happiness’ - from struggling homelessness with his toddler son to becoming one of the richest businessmen in the world, Will Smith at his best takes us through a rollercoaster of emotions which often can’t be named or even expressed through words. In one of the famous scenes from the movie, when Gardner completes the internship with the stock-broker firm, Martin Frohm, his manager asks: “Was it as easy as it looked?” Gardner just says, “No sir, it wasn’t”, but with a thousand words immersed in his eyes. He received an Oscar Nomination for Depicting Chris Gardner, while audience still think of it as close miss.
