Bangalore: The story might be a predictable one like any other Bollywood flick, but has proved to be a hit at the Box Office within a week’s time. A fusion of North and South, Chennai Express is a great entertainment for movie buffs. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has brought back DDLJ’s trademark romance in the film, but with Deepika Padukone this time.

Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan) is assigned the task of scattering the ashes of his grandfather down south, in Rameshwaram. Instead, he decides to join his friends on the way to Goa, but to mislead his grandmother, he boards the Chennai Express.

Fate pulls Rahul towards the South Beauty Meenamma Lochni (Deepika Padukone), who says she is kidnapped from goons. Meenamma ran away from home to escape from getting married. The goons later turn out to be her relatives sent by her father who is an intimidating Southern Don.

The story revolves around how Rahul is trying hard to rescue Meenamma from this situation. The two slowly fall in love and they escape from her father.
