Yet another one from the 1980s, the ultimate action blockbuster game every boy would dream of especially in that era. Contra gave the kids a chance to experience the action heroes popular at that time namely Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Sylvester Stallone. It is also said that Contra made those characters similar to their roles in Predator and First Blood to bring out that extra marketing trick. Its popularity came from its multi-player simultaneous game-play, hence two players can play at the same time. Interestingly, Beijing Starlit Movie and TV Culture announced they were producing a love-action film version of Contra in China, but unfortunately it did not happen.
