Will Apple Fill The Enterprise Mobility Void Left By BlackBerry?
Bangalore: With BlackBerrys impending doom, experts expect Apple to fill the enterprise mobility gap left by the Canadian firm, reports FierceMobileIT. Apple, along with a couple of companies are reportedly stepping up to take over the enterprise mobility segment.
Bill Seibel, founder and CEO of the mobility firm Mobiquity, in an interview with Forbes cited Apples reputation for quick reaction to malware, better device management, and BYOD (Bring Your Own Device), as the reasons why he expects the tech giant to make considerable progress in the enterprise in 2014. His belief is further fortified by the fact that Apple is currently working on providing improved security, more control over apps, single unique sign on and bundling its iWork apps for free, all of which are essential for a company intending to prevail in the enterprise arena.
Apples latest iOS 7 already has some new enterprise-targeted features such as enhanced security and automatic connection to a virtual private network among others. Seibel predicts Apple will beat Android and Microsoft in this enterprise battle as Microsoft lacks the acceptance and market traction.
