Keith Block, Former Oracle Exec, Joins Salesforce.com As President



Bangalore: Salesforce.com has reportedly announced its new executive; Keith Block, who joins the company as President and Vice Chairman, will lead the company's global sales, customer support and consulting services organizations. Block has also been appointed into the Salesforce.com's Board of Directors, reports ZDNet.

Prior joining Salesforce.com, Block served as an Executive Officer at Oracle and was a member of Oracle's Executive Committee. He had spent over 26 years at Oracle managing specialized sales model to support industry, solution and market segmentation.
Block is hyped about his work on leading an 11,000-person team and said to have "built a multi-billion dollar sales business unit that achieved record revenue growth and margin expansion over the span of 10 years."

Block is all set for his new role and has already said to be working with his game plan at Salesforce, as he is excited to "help pave the way to $10 billion by delivering innovation, growth and customer success."

On the other hand, Salesforce CEO and Chairman Marc Benioff is said to be working with newer plans for the company to achieve the milestone of $10 billion at the end of financial year.
