Lenovo is another organization with prominent history. The company’s history began when IBM introduced its first personal computer in the year 1981. The next part began when the Chinese government hired Liu Chuanzhi to distribute imported computers across China. In 1984, with an initial capital of 200,000 Yuan, Liu and a group of ten engineers started developing circuit boards that has the capability of process in Chinese characters in IBM compatible personal computers. They launched the New Technology Developer, which was later called Lenovo or Legend in Chinese. Liu and his formidable colleagues were successful in incorporating their converter boards in IBM’s first portable computer that weighed around 30 pounds. In 1990, Liu and the Legend successfully launched their first personal computer that was widely accepted all over China. Years passed and in 2003 Lenovo launched their first logo for their launch in the overseas market, which was followed by the acquisition of IBM’s Personal Computing Division under the Lenovo brand in 2005.
