Tata Communications Signs Pact To Deploy MPLS Pop In Bahrain

Dubai: Tata Communications has signed a collaboration agreement with Bahrain-based integrated communications company Batelco, enabling it to extend its connectivity footprint in the Middle East via latter's well established and resilient global MPLS network.

Batelco General Manager Enterprise Division Adel Daylami said the firm has entered into the agreement with Tata Communications to expand Batelco's international reach.

This, he said, would give both parties diversity in terms of choice of providers, and additionally support Tata Communications requirements for reliable connectivity in the Middle East region.

Batelco customers will also benefit from the agreement as a result of extended international network reach through Tata Communications global network.

In line with the Batelco/Tata Communications collaboration agreement, an MPLS PoP (Point of Presence) node will be established at Batelco's state-of-art data centre located in Manama.

The data centre is dedicated to providing uninterrupted services to mission-critical data processing operations for organisations located in Bahrain, regionally, and further afield.
