BANGALORE: The Indian Headquartered company, Tata Consultancy Services has announced that most of its hiring is done in the Tier I and II cities. The job acceptance level being at 72 percent, the company said that it is recruiting close to 55,000 people and has offered about 25,000 offer letters till date in the current fiscal year.

TCS has said that switching to these new ways of recruitment through Facebook and Linkedin have reduced the amount of hiring from the third party recruiters and has increased its usage on the emerging social media platforms to build up its man power.

TCS Executive Vice-President and global head-HR, Ajoy Mukherjee said, "Most of the hiring is happening in Tier-I and Tier- II cities. It is more about the location for which we are hiring the people," reports PTI.

The company had earlier announced that its digital learning project will be extended to its new hires, a move which would reduce the training time.
