Ramco Eyes 5 Pct Market Share In Enterprise Cloud Market

Bangalore: Enterprise software firm Ramco Systems said it aims to achieve 5 per cent market share in the global enterprise cloud business during the current fiscal.

"In the enterprise cloud market we are aiming to create three to five per cent market share from around one per cent what we enjoy right now," Ramco Systems CEO Virender Aggarwal said.

Declining to comment on revenue, he said the focus will be on increasing the product booking in global market.

"Since we have decided not to sell on-premise but only to sell on cloud, we know that revenue won't grow much. As we move to cloud, revenue slows."

In the future, revenue will stabilize as the company will start charging customers periodically, and it will not be one time license charge, he added.

Stating that much of the investment will go into marketing, he said, "the company aims to double its marketing expense."

"Much of the investment will go into marketing and some of it into retiring the debt we have. We are aiming for substantial growth in marketing expenses as the key is to put lot of energy in to the global market," he said.
