Microsoft Working On A New Sketch Board For Interactive Data

Bangalore: Software giant Microsoft is working on an interactive whiteboard that will help users to complete sketches they are drawing.

This prototype will be unveiled as a part of the Techfest, where researchers will also reveal some parts of the project they are working on.

According to BBC reports, the demonstration of this new white board called Sketch Insight will be demonstrated at the company’s headquarters at Redmond, Washington by Bongshin Lee.

The demonstration will show how a user could draw an image on the touch screen to call on pre-loaded data to make charts, maps or even diagrams.

The digital canvas is designed for ‘big data’, the growing amount of information available from sensors and other sources. Microsoft suggests that this facility would be most preferred to current presentation software instead of power point.

This project is however one of the several large screen technologies being developed by Microsoft, which would be more useful at home or even work.
