Debra Chrapaty Quits Zynga to Join Nirvanix as CEO


Bangalore: Zynga CIO, Debra Chrapaty will call quits next month to become the CEO of enterprise cloud-storage vendor Nirvanix, reports GigaOM.

Chrapaty, a former executive at Cisco and Microsoft, replaces Dru Borden at the San-Diego based cloud storage company Nirvanix as the SVP of planning and development. Chrapaty also will remain the executive chairwoman of the board in Nirvanix, which has investments from Khosla Ventures and Intel Capital.

Prior to her stint at Zynga, Chrapaty served as the SVP of Cisco’s collaboration software unit. Before that she was the corporate VP at Microsoft. Chrapaty also served as the president and COO of E*Trade Technologies.

Off late, Nirvanix has been catching a lot of eyeballs from investors and funders across the globe. The company already has bagged $70 million in venture funding.  Nirvanix primarily supplies private, public and hybrid clouds to enterprises.
