BSNL To Roll Out 4G-Enabled Internet Services In Indore

Indore: BSNL will launch 4G-enabled internet services in Indore division by May and Wi-Fi-based "Internet on wheels" in the current financial year, a top officer said.

"4G-based internet facility allowing users to download the data at the high-speed of 8MBPS will be started by May next", BSNL general manager G.C Pandey announced at a press conference here.

He said the company will roll out first if its modules providing Wi-Fi-based internet facility to motorists on move in the ongoing financial year itself.

"BSNL's internet-activated car kit would be available in three types, in the range of 6500, 27,500 and 29,500 (one time payment), which comes along with a standard dial-up plan of 250 per month, besides other charges on download and fixed monthly charges for the e-car facility", Pandey said.

The general manager said the Indore division has earned revenue of 116.5 crore in FY13, and is aiming at earning the revenue of 147 crore during FY14.
