Another security technique is by changing the destination of installed applications to custom directories rather than the usual ones. Although pretty hard to implement, this move is for sure to reduce risks, as malwares usually go for the default folders. If you install your application or your operating system to a non default directory then you are sure to screw up its coding. Usually malware’s are structured to attack default folders rather than other folders. They are coded such a way that they usually go for the system or operating system folder or even the directory and then they slowly starts spreading throughout the system. Analysts also recommend installing fake directories that mimics the real ones, so once you find that you are attacked, you can easily sort out the malware from your system as you are for sure to find isolated copies of malware hanging out in your fake directories.
