Bangalore: We know that most of the countries boast of data centers that have the capability to forward and receive multiple data’s in millionth of a second. Data centers across the globe draw attention with its features like temperature control, space, redundancy and reliability. So what makes them cool? The unique design, structure, cooling properties, technologies and their capability to withstand nuclear attacks, is what crafts a common man to stand and stare at these massive structures.

1. The Green Mountain Data Center:

The Green Mountain Data Center features enormous concrete buildings that are located in the caves of a mountain on the shores of island Rennesoy of Norway. This unique structure which once served as ammunition storage for NATO, now contains racks of servers that provide data to multiple companies. The Green Mountain Data Center cools itself with the water from a nearby fjord which flows below at 8 degrees C, constantly throughout the facility. This construction is set to open for customers by the end of 2012.
