Toyota Connected India Opens New Office in Chennai

Toyota Connected India, one of the subsidiaries of Toyota Connected Corporation is planning to widen its global footprint with the launch of a new office in Chennai, which will be focusing on boosting development capability for connected services featuring technologies such as Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.  With this, Toyota will be advancing its connected car and AI development.

Zack Hicks, CEO (Toyota Connected North America) & Chairman (Toyota Connected Europe), comments, “The progress we’ve made in leveraging big data to create break-through mobility products and services has been incredible. We feel that this is an optimal time to establish our new office in Chennai to expand our global footprint, further the reach of our advanced engineering capabilities and fuel innovation well into the future”.

The office at Chennai will work in close collaboration with the existing Toyota Connected India facility in Bengaluru along with the other Toyota Connected offices around the world. It also plans to widen it’s Chennai-based team to over 100 employees within the next few years. The permanent office is scheduled to open in early 2020 at IIT Madras Research Park, and a temporary office is currently in operation.
