Thadomal Shahani Centre for Management Adopts Utkarsh Global Foundation to Focus on Animal Welfare

One of the country’s best institutes for Global Business programs, Thadomal Shahani Centre for Management (TSCFM) adopts Utkarsh Global Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Mulund. The inauguration of the facility, was aimed with a focus on animal welfare, that took place on 30th January 2020. Along with this, the institute also adopts two pariah dogs from them and provided shelter in the sprawling Mumbai campus.

Dr. Akhil Shahani, Shahani Group, says, “Our institute has prioritised animal welfare, as we believe in giving back to the community by doing our bit. Our endeavours are further supported by dedicated students who consistently drive innovative ideas to enhance their outreach. Acquiring Utkarsh has enabled us to widen our window, and to work in collaboration with a specialised team, to provide a better life to strays. We sincerely look forward to inspiring our peers across industries for creating a positive difference within the society”.

Being one of the few institutions that consciously taken steps to improve the conditions of stray animals and focus them on their welfare. It aims to imbibe the students, the values, and concern and serving as an inspiration to students to solve the issues and give them back to the society.

Utkarsh Global Foundation focuses on premier movements such as the Animal Welfare Movement, initiatives and benevolent programs like ‘feeding drives for stray animals’ and ‘stray together’, and aims at providing care and treatment to strays. Besides, it offers a large number of services like free medical care for animals, wherein approximately 2000 animals like dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, buffaloes, cows, monkeys and birds are treated every month.
