"India is a country with a tremendous potential in terms of its vast pool of raw talent and an indomitable spirit to make an impact in the world. By opening an office in India, I aim to give back to the nation that has given me so much. I firmly believe that this move will not only help me realize my vision of bringing cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology to the masses, but also enable me to make a meaningful contribution towards shaping the future of the AI industry, both in the US and in India."

As an Indian immigrant in the tech industry, Sid Sarasvati has made a name for himself as a seasoned professional and accomplished technology leader and innovator. His rise through the ranks, from software engineer to Vice President of Engineering, has been driven by a fierce passion for technology, a steadfast determination to leave a lasting impact, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Growing up in Mumbai, India, Sid had a clear orientation in his head to grow up to be a software engineer. "I was fascinated by computers and programming, and I remember when my father first told me about the Internet and its endless possibilities back in the 90s, and stories about Bill Gates and Microsoft that motivated me to pursue this passion with great intent," Sid says. He spent countless hours teaching himself new programming languages and experimenting with different technologies.

Sid's journey in the tech industry took flight at Vivox, where he was a founding member of the leading provider of communication services for online games. He worked with experienced game developers and software veterans to learn and hone his skills in high-performance coding for studios such as Riot Games, EA, and Wargaming. As the youngest member of the Vivox team, he had to quickly learn mobile development and decode white papers on audio technology. He also had the opportunity to work on projects that tested his creativity and problem-solving skills. His contributions to the gaming industry were recognized when Vivox was acquired by Unity, a well-known and reputed company in the gaming world.

Fueled by a fierce passion for technology and a steadfast determination to leave a lasting impact, Sid's work at Cogito, where he was a Principal Engineer and Manager, focused on building the machine learning infrastructure and a high-performance 'Compute Engine' that was used to extract and analyze thousands of signals from real-time conversations. This technology was recognized for its potential impact on the healthcare industry and was used in clinical settings by clinicians and the Department of Veterans Affairs for mental health issues.

Sid's technical acumen and innovative mindset soon caught the attention of other companies in the tech industry. He went on to become the Director of Engineering at Compass, a leading real estate technology company, where he oversaw the development of a platform for real estate agents, leading a team of over 50 engineers in building a mobile-first culture that propelled Compass to a successful IPO in March 2019.

Despite his success, Sid was not content with simply achieving personal accomplishments. His thoughts frequently turned to his home country of India and the vast untapped potential of its young, talented, and motivated population. With a deep sense of gratitude and a desire to give back, Sid set his sights on creating a company that would bring cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology to the masses.

Now, Sid is the mentor of Trial and Error AI, a cutting-edge technology firm that is poised to make a significant impact in the generative AI space. With a strong focus on remote work and distributed teams, Sid is determined to give back to his home country of India and is looking forward to opening a development center there. "India has a wealth of potential in terms of the raw pool of talent and the sheer will to make an impact in the world, and I believe that by opening an office there, I will be able to give back to the country that gave me so much," Sid says. "My goal is to make the company a leader in the AI industry, both in the US and in India."

Sid's journey from an Indian immigrant to a successful software engineer and technology leader in the US serves as an inspiration for young software engineers and aspiring tech leaders. His dedication, hard work, and passion for programming have led him to achieve great success in the industry, and his future plans to make a positive impact on the field of artificial intelligence are sure to continue pushing the boundaries of what is possible.

In a world where the pace of technological change is rapid and the stakes are high, Sid Sarasvati stands apart as a true innovator and leader, one whose work promises to make a real and lasting impact on the world. As he looks towards the future, he remains committed to his vision of a world where technology is harnessed for the greater good, and where the talents and potential of all people are recognized and celebrated.
