Rolls-Royce to Expand  Business and Partnerships in India

Rolls-Royce is positioning India as a crucial growth market and strategic hub for its global operations. The company plans to deepen partnerships and expand its capabilities in the country across civil aviation, defence, and energy sectors.

Tufan Erginbilgic, CEO of Rolls-Royce, said “Our advanced technologies in air, land, and sea applications enable us to build strong local capabilities”. He emphasized the company’s commitment to support India’s goal of becoming self-reliant and innovative in key industries.

During the official visit of UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Erginbilgic highlighted the strong partnership between India and the UK. Starmer also praised Rolls-Royce’s efforts to grow in India, calling it a symbol of British excellence and a driver of economic growth and job creation.

Rolls-Royce recently opened its expanded Global Capability and Innovation Centre in India. This centre will be the company’s largest global hub for digital services, engineering, and enterprise functions, supporting civil aerospace and defence projects worldwide.

The company plans to at least double its supply chain sourcing from India by 2030, aiming to build a robust ecosystem of local talent, products, and partnerships.

Rolls-Royce Holdings plc focuses on aircraft engines and energy systems, powering commercial and military aircraft as well as naval vessels globally. This is separate from Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, known for luxury vehicles.

With over 90 years in India, Rolls-Royce is committed to strengthening its footprint, supporting India’s ambitions in defence, energy independence, and advanced technology development.
