Piyush Goyal to Visit Israel for High-Level Talks on Trade and Technology

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will travel to Israel from November 20 to 22 for a three-day official visit aimed at strengthening economic and strategic cooperation between the two countries. He is visiting at the invitation of Israeli Minister of Economy and Industry Nir Barkat, the Commerce Ministry said on Wednesday.

Goyal will be accompanied by a 60-member business delegation representing CII, FICCI, Assocham and Start-up India, highlighting the growing industry partnership between India and Israel. He is expected to hold high-level meetings with Barkat and other senior Israeli leaders to discuss ways to boost trade, investment and collaboration across key areas. These include agriculture, water technology, defence, emerging tech, life sciences, advanced manufacturing and infrastructure. Both sides will also review progress on the proposed India-Israel Free Trade Agreement.

During the visit, Goyal will address the India-Israel Business Forum, which will bring together top business associations and industry leaders from both nations. The forum will feature plenary sessions, technical discussions and B2B meetings focused on strengthening investments, expanding commercial ties and exploring new joint ventures. The fourth edition of the CEOs Forum will also take place.

Goyal will also meet executives from leading Israeli companies working in areas such as agriculture, desalination, wastewater management, cybersecurity, smart mobility and infrastructure. His schedule includes visits to major innovation hubs in Tel Aviv to gain insights into Israel’s technology ecosystem. He will also interact with the Indian community and Indian-origin business leaders.

The visit is expected to deepen India-Israel economic ties and open new opportunities for cooperation in priority sectors.
