Optiemus Partners with LS Spectrum to Revolutionize Spectrum Analysis

Optiemus Unmanned Systems Private Limited (OUS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Optiemus Infracom Limited, has formed a strategic partnership with LS Spectrum Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a leading provider of drone-based spectrum analyzers and a subsidiary of Germany's LS Telecom AG. The alliance is aimed at marketing, assembling, and distributing cutting-edge drone-based spectrum analysis technologies across India.

The partnership strengthens the footprint of Optiemus Infracom within the drone services ecosystem, especially across defense applications. As part of the initiative, LS Spectrum advanced spectrum analyzers will be fabricated in Noida, adding further strength towards the Make-in-India campaign of the Indian Government. For the first time, the capabilities of the country's drones will aid in spectrum surveillance, direction finding, geolocation, electronic support, signals intelligence, and electronic countermeasures.

Through this partnership, OUS will initially focus on selling advanced spectrum analyzer drones for LS Spectrum, transforming spectrum monitoring across sectors like telecommunications, defense, homeland security, and civil aviation. The drones will aid in detecting and analyzing spectrum usage and improve the management of communication frequencies in India.

The collaboration aligns with the Indian government’s vision of Make in India and is expected to create innovative and cost-effective solutions for Indian organizations. OUS aims to provide precise spectrum analysis and monitoring solutions using local expertise and infrastructure, making a significant contribution to India’s defense and security industries.

Ashok Gupta, Executive Chairman of Optiemus Infracom, expressed excitement over expanding the product portfolio and emphasized the company’s efforts to forge global partnerships for the Indian defense and aviation sectors.

Prasad Kerkar, Director of LS Spectrum Solutions, highlighted the significance of introducing sophisticated drone-based spectrum solutions in India, aiming for widespread adoption and further development to address unauthorized cellular activities.

The strategic partnership with LS Spectrum aims to enhance India’s telecom and defense capabilities, providing real-time monitoring of communication frequencies, and offering significant time and cost savings compared to traditional spectrum monitoring methods. According to a recent EY-FICCI report, India’s drone industry could be worth $23 billion by 2030.
