OnePlus Launches its First Experience Store in India

OnePlus, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer has inaugurated an experience store in Coimbatore. The new experience store also has a service center offering solutions to every issue related to OnePlus services. The company is planning to inaugurate nearly 100 experience stores across 50 cities in India by 2020.

Presently, the company owns about 25 experience stores and about 70 service centers across the country. The service centers are available in 2,000-plus large format retail stores all over India.

During the inaugural, Darshana Bala, Regional Marketing Head of OnePlus India, states that the new store launch is in line with the company's plan to augment its offline impression all over India.

Furthermore, the company states that it is looking forward to operating 100 such experience stores in about 50 cities across the country by 2020. Also, OnePlus has expressed its interest in giving special attention to tier 2 cities and beyond as well, the official announced.

The new experience store was inaugurated by actress Shruti Haasan, who graced the event and interacted with a couple of lucky winners of a recent radio contest that promoted the launch of the experience store. Further, she would be part of the company's ongoing offline expansion plan.

OnePlus was launched in 2014, and since then, it had a plan to run in India. According to Counterpoint Market Monitor, the company has conquered the premium segment of the industry by possessing nearly 40 percent market share. Currently, OnePlus has invested 1000 crore in its Indian research & development center. The company considers India as a soundboard to carry out its experiments, as the country provides the space to understand the customer's requirements.
