L&T Lands Rs 15,000 Crore Thermal Power Plant Order from NTPC
Infrastructure major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) that it has bagged a major order from state-owned NTPC to set up thermal power plants in Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. The Rs 15,000 crore plus order has been termed as an "ultra mega" order by L&T.
The order has been bagged by L&T Energy CarbonLite Solutions, a focused business for which the company had created the vertical, as per a regulatory filing.
"L&T Energy CarbonLite Solutions has secured 'Limited Notice to Proceed' (LNTP) from NTPC Ltd for setting up thermal power plants in Madhya Pradesh and Bihar", it said.
The work involves design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection and commissioning of boilers, turbines, electrostatic precipitators, auxiliaries, along with the related mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and civil works.
