Indian Companies To Boost Budgets For Employer Branding This Year
BANGALORE: Over 60pct of the organizations are aiming to increase budgets for employer branding. According to an Aon Hewitt study, 'Decoding Hiring Trends in India 2015', will be utilizing social media to draw talents. The survey takes into account of 95 institutions over 14 industries to discover the upcoming hiring trends for 2015 that will focus on retaining talent across diverse backgrounds.
The present hiring setting has reached its best from what it once was with over 70 pct of the organizations has shown the rise in hiring volumes. Over 60 pct will be hired for the rise in establishing new jobs thereby providing in general a positive hiring outlook. Furthermore, the study has affirmed to more than 70pct of organizations structure talent acquirement teams from the 'business units' to meet the entire hiring needs, reports ET.
Around 50pct of well established organizations has directed their attention to campus hiring teams. Information technology organizations are expected to witness a rise in 'Recruitment Process Outsourcing' in 2015. Online assessments, Social media and building employer brand constitute the top concern for recruiter for the coming year. Nithi Sethi, partner at Aon Hewitt said “One of the biggest gamechangers will be employer branding. The company's ability to differentiate itself vis-a-vis competition and get people excited about working there will help attract better talent."
Moreover, learning opporitunites have gained prominent value in India Inc. as per a study 49pct of organizations report 'learning opportunities.' In addition, hiring draws the focus on ‘Cost per hire' and other such efficient indicators are a frequent tracked metrics when compared to 'quality of hire'
Vikas Verma, director, selection and assessment solutions at Aon Hewitt said "Most organizations tend to put a higher value on immediate efficiency rather than quality." Nevertheless efficient employers follow 'quality of hire' religiously with 90pct organizations at mid and senior levels. The study also discloses the difference in the critical skills recognized by the recruitment and talent development teams respectively.
